We are a fully inclusive school and our very proud of our commitment to ensuring every single child we educate feels safe, welcome and able to express themselves confidently.
We are seeking to gain accreditation from the Kite Trust, an organisation that aims to promote the health, well-being and inclusion of LGBT+ young people across Cambridgeshire raising awareness, supporting, and educating our local communities. By working with students and staff we aim to use the Rainbow Flag Award to build a recognised platform from which all students can feel safe and secure at school.

Interested in supporting LGBT+ young people? Come and join allies in Miss Cavilla's room (HS2) on a Tuesday at lunchtime for a range of activities, events or just time and space to talk. There will be biscuits...
MESSAGE FROM THE KITE TRUST
We are all available via phone, text, email and skype/facetime to support young people directly. We are also hosting online hangout sessions for our young people instead of face to face groups. We also have a newsletter going out with information links, craft and recipe ideas, and other ways to stay connected.
We’re sure that young LGBT+ people, Trans people in particular, will feel the isolation and so we want to ensure they have a safe space to come and relax online. We're anticipating more trans people (who are potentially stuck at home with people who do not use their correct name or pronouns etc) will be in need of our services soon, so it would be fantastic if we can anticipate that and ask schools to let their students know that we're still around 🙂
In any communications with your students, eg on your website, emails to students, newsletters, online classes and platforms etc. Please ensure you let students know that we are here and open.
It is also still a great time to join The Kite Trust if they aren't already involved! It is easy to get involved and it's nice to have a community you can still join and meet people safely.
